Default Getting rid of ads........

On my PC at home, running Vista, all the ads are stopped via Firefox, the site is quick enough.

Here, in France, running XP and Firefox, I have popup blocker on, but am still waiting for banner ads to load before a page will display properly.

What have I missed?

TIA.

Adblock rather than just a pop up blocker?

I have a flash blocker installed as well, although it blocks all flash files and you have to click each one before it will show, not the best idea really
