On Thursday after finishing work our entire department were handed our redundancy notices
Since then I have been scouting the papers for jobs, and apart from care assistants, the only jobs going are in IT. My redundancy package will hopefully allow to be out of work training, so would it be worth my while going into it and what field should I go down?

Be warned that not all those roles advertised for are actually real. Some vacancies just put out jobs on websites as a fishing exercises to get copies of peoples CV's for future jobs.

The IT market is on the up from what I've seen but the requirements for a lot of the roles is so high they are almost closed doors. Companies are also not paying what those skills are worth.
