New Laptop
My girlfriend is after a new laptop, but I haven't a clue what's what now-a-days....
She will use it for the internet, college work, downloading stuff, watching movies, storing lots of photo's, using Skype, NO games. It doesn't want to be too big really, as it has to be quite mobile etc.
She wants it as fast as possible, so decent processor and lots of RAM I'm guessing is needed? Doesn't need a really good graphics card, but does need a decent sized Hard Drive. Needs built in wireless as well.
Cost wise..... Definitely less than £1000, more around the £400-500 mark, but if there is a super one for say £800 she would consider it.
Any suggestions? She likes the look of the Sony Vaio ones, but your obviously paying the Sony tax on it, but she doesn't mind too much.
Thanks a lot

Hi Chris
I'm not much of a computer expert but we've got two HP laptops at home which work every time you press the button (used by 3 kids as well), a HP desktop which is pretty solid and all the PC's at work are HP / Compaq.

Look at Dell and Acer as well, Dell have some good offers on at the moment. I've bought 3 Acer's, and a Dell, and my friends and family have bought both brands with no issues.
Nothing against HP, we are an HP house at work and they're good kit.

Most people at work have Dells and they swear by them.
They say they are ******* ****.
Toshiba do some nice lappers - and they come with Harmon Kardon speakers, inbuilt wireless +++ - Nice kit.
