Default Jerky scrolling in windows

I recenlty re-installed xp on my laptop. Now when I scroll down on anything, internet, word, excel, I get a really jerky scrolling, not like I had before. Can't seem to find the option to change. Can someone point me in the right direction?

That would be my guess as well. Catch with laptops though, is that you generally need to get drivers from the laptop manufacturer, not the chipset supplier (nVidia or ATI). Don't worry about getting the latest set at this stage: any proper set will fix this.
