Anybody else struggling with this game?

I never played the original game (Butcher Bay) so figured this was an essential purchase to catch up on what was considered to be a classic game.

Started playing Butcher Bay first, and while the difficulty is on "normal" i now seam to have gotten past the initial "ease in period" of the game, and i seam to be constantly getting killed every few mins.

I have just gotten up to the part where you find some guns, so i expected it to get a bit more "normal" but nope, walk around a corner, BAMM somebodys shotgunned me to death and i am dead

over and over again its like i play it for a few mins and die, find out where somebody is, avoid them/kill them, play for another few mins and die, etc etc


I figured i would try the Athena campaign instead, and i just can not get into it for some reason

why is everybody raving about this game/s ?

I've not got round to buying Dark Athena yet(waitin for price to drop first).

I completed Buther Bay on the original xbox, you need to use a lot of hiding in the dark a stealth kills.

TBH thats another reason i havent bought the new one yet as it can be annoying in parts. Its certainly not a normal shoot em up or a stealth game its a strange style.

just noticed the typo in the title

might trade Riddick in tomorrow, Left4Dead game of the year edition is released (i think) and i have still not picked up a copy of that game yet!
