Bit Torrent port with BT Broadband
As we all know BT throttle torrent downloads
My connection is about 2.5MB and during the day its no more than ~20kb speed. Then at the strike of midnight it shoots up to ~270kb.
A thread discussing this very problem is already here and itt looks like there isnt much I can do about it. I was wondering if any other BT broadband users here have had much luck speeding them up? Is there a port range BT dont monitor? Or do they monitor all ports?
Or shall I just change my ISP?
Thanks

Don't think there's much you can do. I've just moved away from BT to Be (www.bethere.co.uk). No throttling at all, it's great.
Not much use if you're tied in to a contract with BT though.

With BT I got about 4.5Mbit. In the evenings this was generally down to about 2Mbit for browsing etc. For torrents I was down to 10kb/sec. I was paying BT £22 a month for that (Option 3)
With Be, I pay £17 a month, my connection is between 7-9Mbit and I get full speed day and night plus 1Mbit upload (compared to 0.4 with BT).
