I tried to play a standard DVD through my PS3 the other day and it wouldn't work.

A few questions for the PS3 newb


1, Is this possible to do?

2, If it is will the DVDs be region locked?

3, If it is, will it have to play them through a scart or will it go through the HDMI lead also?

4, If the DVD is region locked, is there a code to sort this?

2. I think a PAL PS3 will be locked to Region 2

3. It will play through HDMI

4. Probably not

My mrs plays dvds on our, she doesn't like using the controller but they play fine.

Never had any problems with normal DVD playback - copy or original

Hmmm, right thanks guys, now I know I will have a proper play around with it.

I bought a remote control for it so will have a crack at that.
