Netbook what do you think of this offer any better deals
I am looking to get a note book to use while i am in the car or staying away in this country.
I came across this offer and thought it looked quite good but i am quite worried about it not having a hard drive.
Netbook - Mobile Broadband - Vodafone
I also saw this samsung model on 02 but it's 29.99 i dont really want to pay more than £20.
Laptops
Any better deals ?

Depends how much you want the 3G and what the speed is like in your area. Computer Shopper's recent round up of deals suggested that the netbook for free deals ended up more expensive than buying your desired netbook and a 3G subscription. Also, some solid state drives are quite small and slow.
We got an Acer Aspire One for £150 from ASDA - has 160GB hard drive, but 512MB, Linux and no 3G. You can buy the RAM to upgrade cheaply (although it takes a while to take it apart to get to the socket compared to most laptops), and install XP from a USB stick, but not bothered as Linux flies on this spec, includes openoffice, a few amusing games (SuperTux kept us both entertained for a while). The only reason I'd install XP is if I wanted to run car tuning apps on it.

Both work out cheaper by buying the netbook directly and then getting a separate 3G contract.
The NC10 on O2 looks lavalay - but do you really need a 3GB per month allowance - save yerself another fiver times 24 months by going "separate" on a 1GB deal!
