iTunes equalizer settings

I'm really struggling to find a sound seeting I'm happy with on iTunes. I listen mainly to stuff like Coldplay, The Killers, Foo Fighters and dance and Hip Hop.

The presets are crap IMO. Can anyone recommend me some custom settings to try?

I'd be very grateful, many thanks.

Try this;

Up, down, up, up, down, middle, down, up, middle, middle, up, up, up.

could be your hardware? I have mine outputting through an expensive sound card (with phono outs) to an audiolab amp and B&W speakers. sounds great on std settings.
