wecam chat on two conected pcs ??

Default wecam chat on two conected pcs ??

Quick one !!! desk top pc has an external add on webcam, son`s laptop has a built in webcam, using one pc via ethernet cable and one via wi-fi from same router, can we communicate via webcam from pc to pc and if so how ??

Sure can, probably the best and easiest way is to both download Skype official website - download Skype free now for free calls and internet calls, register then call eachother.

Skype uses peer-to-peer technology, so the call should go directly between the machines even though the call is set up via the internet.

Okay cheers appreciatte the info, not being funny but you sure skype supports webcam as wel as voice ?? was always under the impression that is was voip- voice over internet or is the webacm support a new thing they have possibly added ??

anyway again appreciatte the advice,will check it out.

I need a webcam cheap but a decent one to use with skype any ideas?

yeah, better to use a webcam than to fire up the scooby just to get down to the other end of the house.

If you're on the same LAN, then just use Windows Live Messenger - that's what I use with my kids - saves shouting
