Now what was it that guy used to say in that old Marathon advert: "Speak Enlish boy!"

How do you zip something? More software?

OK.

Install 7zip (free and good)
Right click the file you want to protect.
Select 7zip from the menu
Change the file type to "zip" in the "Archive Format" Box
Type a password in the appropriate boxes
Click ok

Remember and delete the unprotected original!

I use this:

My Lockbox - Files and Folders Password Protection - Hide Folder, Lock Folder, Password Protect Folder - FSPro Labs

Handy for hiding stuff

Assuming the kids have a different logon to yourself, and you are using password protected accounts...

Stick the photos in a folder of their own, right click the folder in windows explorer and select "properties", select the security tab, and select the users that are allowed to see it (i.e. exclude the kids account). Job done

Your best bet, according to a "friend" is to chuck all your naked shots in an encrypted container file with multi level password protection, THEN hide the file and disassociate it from the program used to run it.

Your children wouldn't even know the file was there and if they did somehow miraculously discover a hidden container file with no extension, they wouldn't know how to open it, and if they did somehow manage to find the program that opens it they'd then have to know your passwords, all 7 of them... NEVER going to happen.

Just make sure that you dismount the container when you exit

If you send me the files, I'll put them in a container for you
