RANT MODE ON
Those fecking useless ***** at British Telecom, have completley fecked up my broadband.
I use BT for phone my line, dont have a choice as Im limited to what I can get in my area and I use UK Online for my isp.
I asked BT to put the 1571 service on phoneline, took them 3 working days to do this. Woke up this morning to a broadband totally fecked up.
Been on the phone to BT most of the day and the cheeky ******* are trying to blame my isp for the problems they have created. BT want me to pay an engineer £97 to come out to check out my wiring in the house. Funny how everything has been perfect before they put on the 1571 service.
Here is the best bit, to take off the 1571 service it will take 7 to 10 working days.
BT your a bunch of fecking useless ****.

The phone services like 1571 have nothing to do with the throughput of your broadband connection.
If your ISP is blaming BT directly then you can ask BT to come and check the connection, they'll bill you as they stated, but you'll be able to pass the bill on to your ISP.

The 1571 service is done on an IN platform off the switch, your broadband is seperate from the switch on a different bit of kit.
Give your ISP a kick!
(the phone line uses a dedicated 64kb link, it does not affect the bb in any way )
