Default Getting PS3 repaired

ooo f**********ck!

My 5 year old had an accident and knocked over a glass of orange which has spilled into my PS3, end result goes into standby but doesnt power on so it needs to go in for repair, can this be done in a sony centre?

Cheers

Sony Centres afaik arent official Sony outlets - just a group of retailers running under the brand name. So I doubt very much they would take it for repair. Another chap on here just contacted sony direct for a warranty claim and they come and collect it from you. Im not sure what the deal is with accidental damage but worth giving them a call.

Well looks like the orange juice inside must have dried out as it now works again!
I did some research beforehand and apparently sony just swap them out even after 12 month warranty period if the sticker hasnt been invalidated
