iTunes Backup/Formatting hard drive
Hello
I have to reinstall windows and don't want to lose the Application data syncing with iTunes (where you have to register your phone etc...).
What do I have to backup to restore on the freshly installed Windows?
Thanks,
Steve

I assume you mean apps on your iPhone/iPod Touch?
I know on the Mac they are stored in a folder called "Mobile Applications" within the iTunes folder in your Music folder. I would take a guess that it's the same on the PC.
Looking at my setup on XP, inside My Documents I have a folder named "My Music" and inside there is an "iTunes" folder, and I would take a guess you'd find the "Mobile Applications" folder inside there as well.
I would suggest you backup the entire iTunes folder, as that will also take care of any music added to the "iTunes Music" folder, plus it'll keep the iTunes Music Library file intact too.
Once you have reinstalled windows, you could reinstall iTunes, and after it's installed, replace the iTunes folder it will have created in "My Music" with the one you backed up and you should be good to go.

Steve,
I've just had a quick google and found this thread on the the Apple Discussions forum. Seems that what I suggested above might not work, so follow the steps outlined in the second post on that thread. Looks as though I was correct about the path of the folder though
