Default Torrent Site

Whats the best torrent site at the mo? One where you don't have to pay or ideally register? Used to use torrentspy which is no more.

Piratebay, I wouldn't use any other torrent site unless the servers are Swedish based at the minute.

Requesting copyrighted material is one step too far. Please try to keep the discussion within the site terms of use. Thanks guys

Open torrent sites are one of the easiest ways to be caught downloading illegal material. That and P2P.

I would suggest either getting into some of the member only ones (still risky) or use Newsgroups !

It wasn't a direct link to copyrighted material, it was a link to a link, it would be the same as banning links to Google

If someone wants to go off and search for copyrighted material on that site then they are well within their rights to do so. There is no need to facilitate it futher by posting links here.

Dunk, I do not understand, the site is not illegal in any way in regards to UK law, do you not understand .Torrent Files?

Could you tell me the difference between Google.com and .Torrents or retract your comment from my post, as it makes me look like a Pirate.

Thanks

Yes, I understand torrents and the way they work and also recognise the legalities.

You linked to a specifc torrent which breaches the sites current terms of use:

Posting, distributing, transmitting or promoting illegal content

If you'd have posted a Google link to the same specific torrent (promoting illegal content), that too would have been removed. If you wish to discuss further, please start a thread in Policy.

Isohunt and Piratebay are the non-registered ones I used to use but Im now a member on some high rated private sites such as TorrentLeech and RevTT.

All the sites mentioned are pretty reliable sites though.

If you want quality releases before any other .Torrent site has them, don't fanny around with torrents, get on Usenet, max your line out from 3 seconds until the dl is done

Costs me £1.89 a week.

Its unmitigated speed, Torrents will never come close it.

Try download Londons Burning, broadcast between 1986 and 2002, see if you max your line speed then or indeed use any of it, this applies to any other abstract media you may want. The only reason people use Torrents is because it is a easier protocol to navigate, simple as that
