Hmm, might not connect mine to the net for a while and wait see how many die after this update. 
Looks good though, so long as it's faster than the old OS then i'm sold

Just got mine. Very nice it is too (much faster than the old dashboard).
Mine wasn't updating, but I forced it by going to the network settings and selecting "test connection"

I just copied Virtua Fighter to the hard drive (once I'd cleared lots of rubbish I didn't realise was there (10gb of it!)).
I don't know how long it took to copy as I just left it to actually do some work. Running the game is a little quicker.

Just copied the new Banjo-Kazooie game to the HD. The whole install process took around 5 minutes and the game does load much quicker now. Console runs quieter as well
The whole dashboard runs a lot quicker as well. For example I used to get annoyed that my arcade game list took so long to populate. It's now instantaneous. Likewise, it's much easier to track achievements etc. Impressed so far

I can only see me doing it for Forza to be honest (it takes ages to load when online).
I presume it still asks for the game to be inserted?
Sounds impressive so far. I'll download it later on.

Quick update people 
Some users are reporting that ipod files are no longer playing once the NXE
has been installed...
You need to go back to marketplace and download the ipod patch again

If you move the right stick up and down he nods etc, l/r and he shakes his /
