Default GeForce FX 5200 - were there any issues?

Just building a PC for the father-in-law from some inherited bits. It's been a long time since I've seen a BSOD, but it happened when I downloaded/installed the current Nvidia driver for the FX 5200 (128MB, AGP)

The BSOD specically mentions the NV4.dll which I assume it gfx card related.

I read somewhere the 5x series of GeForce were prone to a few issues. Anyone shed any light ?

I remember there being some issues on some motherboards.
I had an dual MP system that would BSOD after setup if I didn't install the AGP port driver, graphics driver and DirectX together before restarting the system.

I found an old post about someone with an identical problem. It's probably not worth messing around with:

the mx400 will probably offer similar performance to the 5200 anyway

The 5 series were known back in the day for being not very good

I've binned the 5200 - the MX400 went in without any issues. My father-in-law basically uses it for Sudoku, and Mahjong so MX400 is a good fit.
