Locked out of windows XP Pro !!
Classic mistake
I've forgotten my password for a computer I don't use very often.....I don't want to log onto the newtwork just use the PC
Any hints on how I can get into the PC. I know my username but for the life of me I can't remember the password.
Cheers
Shaun

Is it a domain PC or you logging on locally?
If logging on locally you need to wipe all SAM passwords including the administrator. I have a little program which will help.

lol joking, there is an easy way with xp, start it with safe mode and theres a way u can get the old password to the main account back...but im not gonna say lol. Theres another way, press F12 i think.... or whatever button it says to press for help or the other option, which flashes on the screen very quickly as u startup, u can get into it from there also

Yes, I've used that program several times. If it IS a work computer, they will not appreciate you using it to reset Administrator or other local accounts.
Download from here Offline NT Password & Registry Editor
