Anyone use a large hdd >32gb formatted to fat32
Is it reliable/safe? Tempted to try this Fat32Formatter on my 300gb external drive. It is to be plugged into my networked Lacie external drive via usb and the Lacie only supports added drives in fat32 or xfs.
It is currently added to it formatted in NTFS and is read only so need to format

I did for a while and was fine, one drive I bought (320) was formatted this way but the killer for me was the fat file size limit.
I have a CL formatter I can send you if you like.

Cheers, yes the fat32 file size limit actually has put a stop to this. Have gone back to Lacie saying how useless it is. Going to check with where I bought it from about a refund/exchange for something that is fit for purpose. Never buying Lacie again.
