Anyone playing this yet? Thought Far Cry was one of the best single players of the time and excellent in multi-player, so hoping for big things with this.

Looks a little different to the first outing and getting good, not rave reviews.

Anyone playing it? Is it worth buying and if so what format PS3 or XB360?

Its by a different developer to the first one after the original developer Crystek left the publisher Ubisoft and went to EA. The reviews I've seen have been quite favourable.

I've got Dead Space and LBP on pre-order, so I'll hold off and get it later.

Just finished Ace Combat 6 , which I really enjoyed. Best flight sim I've played since FA/18 Interceptor on the Amiga!

I choose to play a game on one of my consoles - I'm not interested in playing stuff on my PC anymore, if I can get it on another platform.

PC gaming is pretty much dead for me now too, the consoles are good enough and much more convenient. No installing GB's of stuff, no DRM crap and online checking and no spending thousands every couple of years to upgrade etc

Only game I have on my PC (well, Mac) is WoW.

A console on a full-HD screen with thunderous surround sound and being able to lounge around in any position on a sofa beats being huddled over a keyboard and mouse anyday.

Yep, I have 'Dead Space' on pre-order too. Finally another survival horror game. Now, I only need some spare time to play them and hope that my 360 doesn't crash for the 5th time.

REALLY tempted to get dead space, but i know if i do i will have to many things to play when gears 2 comes out.

quite intrested in farcry 2 but watched a multiplayer video on xbox live last night and it looked a bit ****ty IMO

pc gaming is the pits, should bump up that old thread from a while back where a few us us declared pc gaming going **** up in a short space of time, and i think we were shot down by the "sn massif" (probably the ones who had just built a new "rig" lol)

i tried to go back and play some unreal tournament a few weeks back and using the keys sucked ****.

i do still play a race sim on the pc, but to be honest i have spent more time recently on forza 2 trying to beat the scoobynet time attack times

Try to play cod4 on a ps3, with its gay controller,

Then play it on a pc with keyboard and a decent mouse.

The difference is black and white.

Im good at cod4 on a pc, but my accuracy was shocking using ps3 controller.

Theres a reason why consoles and PCs can't play on the same servers and its not a software incompatibilty. There'd be no consolers left.

I've been thinking of buying dead space for PS3 - largely due to it being a good game completely ham-strung by being unplayable with mouse/keyboard.

Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 I will be buying on PC. I really only use consoles for driving games.

Consoles are a bit of closed market thus making the profits much higher than with PCs. This is the reason for the drop off of PC gaming, not that consoles are actually better games machines.

Far Cry 2 I'm looking forward too. The Crysis sequel Warhead will stay on the shelves. Crysis was the Delorean of PC gaming - pretty but ultimately very ****.

does anyone know if they are selling far cry 2 early?? have been waiting for time and desperate for a decent game to finally arrive on ps3 ( just completed bioshock, truely amazing)
seen the adverts on tv which say its out now, but checked in game yesterday nothing, play.com say 'in stock' and available for despatch now, instead of saying preorder

I don't play FPS on any console purely because I find it impossible. I wouldn't say consoles are for noobs, but certain games suit M/KB far better than pads. FPS games being one of them.

Conversely, I find playing a racing game with a keyboard useless and only use a pad.

Based on hard facts in this thread It would appear the majority of PC gamers are noobs as they struggle to use a simple gaming pad for consoles FPS games. It's also a known fact that noobs (aka PC gamers) blame the hardware before they realise that in fact they are rubbish gamers and it has nothing to do with the hardware they use. A recent Which magazine survey revealed 9.9999999 times out of 10 PC users are just crap gamers.

I'm looking forward to Far Cry 2 on the 360. Roll on Friday

Ooh i see some of you have completed bioshock, IM STUCK!!

Havent played since xmas but can remember a little......im stuck as i cant remember or find the code to enter in a sort of lift or door thing. Its at the end after ur trying to escape...and have found out the "voice" throughout the game is really the bad guy....its a massive staircase, surrounded high up by different floors, some u have to go through to get to the next floor up, but really pissing me off i cant find the code for the door/lift for love or money!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone shed some light? lol

I've heard that Fable 2 is EXACTLY like the original Fable with better graphics. It has the same restrictions, missions and inconsistencies, nothing really has changed.

Lol What is closer to the truth is that as you get older the less you want to splash cash on a new pc every 2-3 years and the less you want to sit at a desk and prefer to slouch/veg on a sofa with minimal effort i.e. insert disc and play. Even as a hardcore gamer Id admit Im going this way now for general gaming although I doubt I will ever feel comfortable FPS'ing on a console. Ok for your "average" gamer who knows no better

How many % of gaming competitions play FPS on a console - I would hazard a guess its not very much. The day they manage to bridge xbox live / psn and pc online gaming together will highlight the reason why
