Default how do i fix this?

when i start my computer it comes up cpu has been changed or damaged please reset cpu soft menu,if i hit F1 i find it goes away and works but the thing is noticably slower any of you computer genius's point me in the right direction to fix it,thanks in advance

when you boot and you get the black/white or green/white screen telling all the bios info then press delete to enter the bios menu.you will most likely find that all the bios settings have been set to a bare minimum level.You may be lucky and have an option to set to defaults,if your unlucky and you dont have that option then your gonna being doing some work .You will need to figure out multiplier settings for cpu and bus speed.Do some googling 1st as if you screw it up you can cook parts..So take your time and be methodical in your approach when in the bios.

look in your motherboard manual and find the bios reset prong had the same problem my self on another m/b, resetting will erase all saved configuration u have made but simple enough to redo

I had this problem with a machine when the bios battery went flat, (it's usually a flat watch style battery on the motherboard somewhere). You may want to check that as well...
