Default How come, when I open IE7....

...........once every dozen times I open it, usually after it's been shut down or off for a while, it displays this as the site it's trying to contact, Problem loading page, then tells me it can't display the webpage, even though my homepage is set to Google?

It's Vista, if that helps.

TIA, Alcazar

Sigh... Vista is a perfectly stable platform, and updating windows etc won't help with anything.

Silverlight is basically a MS addon to "enhance" certain compliant websites. A bit like flash etc, so installing that won't make a difference either.

Have you tried a different web browser (firefox for example)? If you see the same problem with that, then it suggests that it may be a problem with you ISP rather than anything wrong with your pc...

from that link you have posted, you have some kind of avg toolbar installed?? It looks like all your traffic goes through an avg filter using their dns. Chances are when it happens that their dns servers are very busy thus giving you that error. If you uninstall the avg webfilter (assuming you have that) then it should be fine. No problem with your operating system it is software that is installed
