Smile Nvidia's new graphic card range

Seeing that there is now a new chipset out to replace the "ageing" 8/9k series, I decided to take the plunge and go for one

Having seen my last XFX Nvidia card though a couple or 3 years (its a 7950GT) and it was struggling with some of the newer games, the XFX XXX was top of my list unfortunately it wasnt in stock so I opted the the "cheaper" XT version (20 quid less, and not much in the way of performance difference)
So now having a nice HUGE 280 series graphics card sitting in my computer (its about a foot long and the power cables are on the top) and figuring that seeing I dont have the correct cable for the 8 pin socket on the card (its on the top and annoyingly close to the side panel which ive not even tried to put back on yet) I opted to upgrade my PSU to a 800W output Tagan from my little 600w one

All in all a good buy ive noticed the difference immediately, much smoother graphics (well for the price i would hope so ) and its quiet to boot you just need a bit of space in your pc (takes up 2 slots) and a good power supply (600+w with 40amp output minimum) and 6 and 8 pin cable(s) for its power source (plus plenty of room at the side).

If it lasts me 3 years lke the last one, ill be happy

Tony
