Cool Recommend a wireless ADSL router please

I'm not happy with the wireless performance of my current router, so I'm in the market for a new one. Don't want to spend more than about £45, recommendations please?

Thanks

Geezer

I have yet to find any decent wireless router, they all fallover or have poor range (except for my neighbours with no password, that works great!)

As good as that looks, I really don't have that to spend, but thanks anyway

I can thoroughly recommend the tesco brand. Stable, easy to use, setup, etc.

What more do you want?
I have set a few of these up, very highly recommended.

And under budget for what you need.

If you want another alternative, try linksys. Avoid belkin, purely due to a not very friendly UI.
DLINK are also very good, but not as stable and need frequent firmware updates.

If you can afford it, go for a 3com office connect, but these are hard to find.

My own preference would be Tesco ADSL wireless router, for the money its great.

Anything but netgear DG84xxx

that is if you want to do any form of media streaming, lol

it seems to be a 50/50 chance that you get one that will stream straight from the box, or wont. I got a wont unit, changed to Belkin then speedlink, and both of them worked straight from the box

Bellend, sorry Belkin tech support is atrocious in my experience. I've given up trying to find a "great" router. I've done like most of my mates and colleagues, and bought a Netgear. In my case a DG834N. Not the best, but it works reliably. No complaints from the wife about the Internet being down In my experience, very few people I've spoken to have problems with Netgear. Not sure about when sharing, via P2P, although BBC iPlayer, Sky Anytime etc which are based on Kontiki P2P all work fine. The Speedtouch jobbies supplied by our local ISP seem OK, I had a USRobotics(3Com now ) which was reliable, and the afore mentioned Bellend, which got a hammer through it in the end, and my brother is still running my really old Draytek, which only gets rebooted when there's a powercut.

Netgear DG834GT works for me.

Have consistently fallen out with BT Homehub ****e things - Netgear has been terrific.

Tested the Netgear's range today against BT Homehubs 1 and 2 (the new black one - looks cool but isn't....).

Through 2 brick walls, Netgear signal was at 100% strength, Homehub1 60% and Homehub2 20% (WTF? Supposed to be better).
