Web based content management
Hello!
Right firstly I am the web admin of my cricket clubs web site and I've been running out of time to keep it updated in a timely fashion . I'm no expert at it either, which doesn't help so other people are going to start looking after other bits of the site. What I want to do is implement DNN (DotNetNuke) which I've used before in an old job which was easy to use and very good but my hosting doesn't seem to support this so I'm after alternatives!
I'm open to any suggestions!

Sounds like you're in a similar position to our Sailing Club. Someone had written their own CMS system, but it was very restrictive, and very difficult to add even a quick newsflash to the site, let alone let other people, for example the sailing school, manage their own section of the site.
The solution we went for was Joomla. It's well worth looking at.
The real question is why your host doesn't support DNN, as it's possible they may not support other CMS solutions. Joomla seems to require PHP, MySQL, Apache, mod_mysql, mod_xml and mod_zlip, which are php functions and must be enabled on the hosts php installation.
