Default Xbox360 steering wheel

Picked up an Xbox 360 yesterday & a copy of 'Grid', but I'm struggling using the control pad ! I have a Logitech Momo steering wheel for the PC, will it work on the Xbox or will I have to shell out for a proprietary one ?

Pretty sure that only the propriety one will work with the 360. I tried my DFP (which works fine on the PS3 and PC), but the 360 didn't want to know...

you need the proper 360 wheel, nothing else will work and give you proper feedback

i think you can get a "madcatz" wheel that works but has rumble instead of force feedback, so its pointless

Tcha I bloody knew it ! I got the console for next to nothing, but all the other gubbins is costing a fortune ! I need rechargeable battery packs for the controllers & the damn thing doesn't even have built in wireless !

I wouldn't say it's "pointless" - I mean it still has the advatanges a wheel gives you - I have a madcatz wheel for my 360, and it does the job. It is miniscule though, but that does mean you don't have to go through the rigmarole of clamping it down, you can just drop the grop things and use it quite happily on your lap.

It's not a patch on my DFP obviously, but for £20 or whatever you can pick them up for now they are perfectly ok
