getting IP address

Default getting IP address

I am trying to get an IP address of our CX300 Storage unit. Its all patched in but to log into the navisphere software on the storage processor, you put in the ip address in IE

How can i obtain this IP?

Does it appear on the network (i.e. from a net view)? If so, you could "ping" the name of the unit, and it should tell you the ip address it is using.

so from my computer i should be able to do a net view \\xxxxxxx

It doesn't pick anything up. I also tried our other working CX300, nothing there either so no idea how it was got.

Go into the router/switch and get the ip address from there?

download and run IPScan and search your subnet if you don't know the address

you can do a netstat -a if you maintain connection via navisphere.
This will broadcast the IP of all your connections locally and on the internet.
