Splitting & Emailing PDF Document OR Adobe Acrobat Scripting
We have a program that creates a single PDF file.
Contained within this PDF are a number of invoices consisting of between 1-4 pages each (IE 1 PDF with 100 invoices but 300 pages).
This is obviously fine if we wish to print them all out and post but as we're now looking to save the planet, the idea is to email them.
But the program can't be changed
SO
Does anyone know of a program or Adobe Plugin that will split up the single file based on (say) account number, group all those instances of account number, then email to an email address that it would pick from an excel spreadsheet or other data source?
OR
Is anyone a whiz (or know someone) with Adobe Scripting?

My First question is where is the PDF software getting the inoives from in the first place... a business system, office? where?
I would say rather than print to PDF change that step, rather than try to edit PDF's..

I'd agree with the above and use something like CutePDF if possible.
Otherwise this is open source & should do the trick . . . PDF Split and Merge

This probably isn't much help but on OSX you can drag individual pages out of a PDF when viewing it in Preview. Like I say not much help but it does show a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

The program uses Crystal Reports run-time libs to create the reports. There is a version of the program that exports & emails Invoices to customers but not Pay Advice to couriers. The amendment to the program is unfortunately not in the development pipeline (eh DaveU?) and currently we couldn't get the dev done anytime this year at current reckoning.
Once the report is created, it can be exported into a variety of things but the only one I think that would be of any use is as a pdf.
I've played with AutoSplit and that quite happily splits the pdf into 150+ different pdf files ready for emailing, so that is good.
Guess the question now is, can anyone think of a program that reads a database of email addresses & IDs and based on the ID picks up a pdf of the same name and emails it out?
