360 DVD drive noise
My 360 (Premium HDMI) is placed below my TV. When playing GTA the DVD drive is permanently like a flymo to the extent you need the TV volume very high just to hear the in game audio. Is everyone experiencing this ? The noise is so annoying I'm considering a PS3 just to get some peace.
Thanks

For goodness sake dont buy a ps3 biggest waste of £300 quid ever...
I made this mistake.
The only reason a ps3 will be quiter than your 360 is you wont be playing on it due to lack of decent games.

I do find that the sound on GTA seems to be quieter than normal, I have to turn my amp up quite a bit more. Whereas if I play a downloaded demo like Grid it comes up really loud and I have to turn it down.

its a bit of a pain IMO that sound levels in games don't seam to be balanced, my tv does a good job of auto leveling stuff, but if the game is half decent its always getting played with the 5.1 surround on, and the separate amp for that, will not auto level everything
i must have been lucky with my 360 as i don't consider it noisy at all, infact i can hear my man desktop pcs case fans in the next room over the sound of the 360 drive
