Microsoft outlook 2000 problem
Hi peeps,
Further to my outlook express problem which I have posted in another thread, I also have a new problem with my microsoft outlook 2000 program which is not running right. I installed it and got all my outlook express stuff onto it. It runs very slow. If i click on anything, it takes up to 5 minutes to do anything and I get a message saying the file c:\documents and settings\my pc name\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst could not be found. I uninstalled office 2000, re installed it, but same thing. Any ideas to help me fix this?

Go to Start Button, Control Panel, Mail, Data files
and select the data file button and click on add to create a new data file.
This should work. outlook scans for it, this is why you are experiencing a slow start.
Outlook 2003 is much better, but 2000 will get you moving.
Hope this helps you

Hi Scoobz72. Thanks for your input. Unfortunately I dont have the data file option when I go to control panel, mail. Maybe its an outlook 2003 option.
