iTunes question
I'm fairly new to iTunes and i just want to why that when i try and burn a compliation cd to iTunes it splits it up into loads of peices instead of just one complete album.
Are you talking about gapless playback? As in there should be no breaks between the tracks? If so then go into iTunes preferences, then look at Advanced -> Burning.
I'm going to assume you're using the "Audio CD" option, at which point look at the "Gap between songs" option. It's probably set to "2 seconds", hence the split. If you change that to "none" and then burn the CD there will not be any gaps between the songs.

Sorry, I thought you meant you were burning music from iTunes to a CD. You're talking about importing from a CD into iTunes.
If you go into iTunes prefs, then Advanced -> Importing, do you have "Automatically retrieve CD track names from Internet" enabled? If so then this might be the cause of the problem.
What the option does is connect to the Gracenote database to figure out the album, track and artist names. I think what is happening is that for some tracks it's got slightly different information for some of the items, probably the album/artist part, and so it's grouping things by that.
What you could do is select all the mini album stuff, then use the "get info" command from the File menu, say "Yes" to the edit multiple items option, then when you get the edit dialog up, click in the Album area and change it to what the album should be called, you may also want to change the Album/Artist field as well, then click OK. iTunes will then go through and set those fields on all the selected tracks to the value you defined.

I know it's a bit long winded and as I am fairly new to i tunes I don't know all the ins and outs, copy it onto your hard drive open in WMP and just rename it before transferring, then it should stay together, i know this because when transferring from my pc a compilation I'd made years back transferred under the album name i'd given it.
