Quick MS Licensing question - CALs
Can't seem to find a quick answer so...
We have a school running Windows 2000 server standard. They are considering a new Windows 2003-based server (standard). Will the current Win2k CALs be okay with the Win2k3 server or do they require new CALs ?
The LEA have told them they do - but that might be for the use of Terminal Services.
Any help appreciated to this relative newbie!!

Terminal Services require their own CAL's, seperate to the Windows CAL's
Yes you will need to buy new CAL's we do about 90% of our work in education sector, and get faced with this on every upgrade
IIRC Education CAL's are about 3 or 4 quid each
