Default BBC Iplayer - saving content to my h/d

Is there anyway to record content from BBC Iplayer onto my PC ? What tools do i need ?

You can use the download feature to save to your hdd, then just copy it to another folder and use something like VLC to open it after the 30 days has expired,
Ive done this with a few items ive wanted to hold onto after the 30 day limit,

I'd like to put it on a disk and watch it on TV.

I though they were DRM protected
