trekked round oxford street today looking for it, hamleys sold out, hmv sold out.
got back home and remembered that i pre-ordered it months ago from gamestation - didnt cost anything and they just asked months back when i was in there.
phoned them up and was very suprised to hear them say yes we have a copy reserved for you.
anyway cut to the point, they had loads of copies, even if you didn't pre order, they are holding the preorders until close of business tomorrow, so if they havent got any left for general sale then try them last thing tomorrow / first thing thursday.
They are also doing an additional sixaxis controller for £20 and the strategy guide for £9.99 when brought with the game

not PS3, but I got a copy from Zavvi for my Xbox. might be worth a try. Cost £45, but it also included 3 months gold online membership for free (which is worth £15) so quite chuffed

Game may well hasve some tomorrow - the email I got to say it was in store for me said they'd keep it for 48 hrs before it went up for grabs - so might be worth trying early tomorrow...

I was in my local Argos today and out of curiosity I typed in the code for GTA4 PS3. It was sold out (as expected) but the next delivery date was tomorrow (Thursday). The system also had a little message saying they are only taking reservations instore.

Same mate. Pre-ordered mine with Amazon last week and stupidly assumed I would get it the day of release or maybe the day after (new to this pre-order lark!). Checked the status of the order and it was estimated delivery of 10th May. Whats the bleeding point in pre ordering! May as well just walk into Game.
