Default iPhone update

I wonder if anyone can help me out here I got an 8gb iphone on Friday and have unlocked it using ziphone, but I didn`t update the software 1st it is still running 1.12 and itunes is asking me if I want to update I would like to update to 1.14 but afraid it may be locked again permanantly. Could anyone give me step by step insructions on how to do this.

I unlocked mine at 1.1.2 then downloaded 1.1.4 from Itunes, restored and updated to 1.1.4 then zIphoned again. Mine works fine.
Try AVForums or You Tube, tis what I did.

JUst prep it thru ziphone for the upgrade then off you go it will be fine as the newest upgrade is only 1.1.4

Done it now I did a restore through iTunes then when i reset it up the option to update wasn`t there I had to sign up to an accountt with O2 as i probably had to the 1st time, anyway when I ran ziphone again it was already 1.1.4.

If you have signed to an account your tied !!! You didn't have to do that as mine was the same, You use the option on ziphone to prepare your iphone for an upgrade/restore. You then restore the iphone and then you use ziphone which jailbreaks the phone and by-passes the contract info

No I haven`t taken out the contract with O2 but it seems that the latest version of itunes trys to get you to sign the contract before the iphone can be used or updated. I clicked cancel on both times then run ziphone I cant understand how it run ver 1.1.2 on the 1st time.

it didnt run version 1.1.2 that what your phone was set to
