Default OS and ram question...

Let's say I have a vista 64bit machine with 8gb ram in it.

can i run many 32 bit application conncurrently that between them all use up that 8gb (or nearly).

ie; can a 32 bit application still run against the ram above 4gb?

As far as I know yeah, its the OS that controls the RAM and the program parts are load or preloaded into it by the OS. Which Vista is good at.

The Dual/Quad cores etc are where you need programs that can manage tasks between the two.

I also used the Lorries description for people who know nothing about PCs ( not like you ) that the more memory (lorries) you have the faster you can move things around !

supercharged lorries = low latency CAS?
