Anyone using an Intel 3945 Wireless with WPA ?
Specifically with 3com Access Points ?
Do you have any issues ?
Ive been installing Managed Wireless systems for nigh on 2 years now and yesterday have had an absolute mare trying to get 30 Dell Latitude Laptops working with minimum WPA-PSK either TKIP or AES connecting to 3com 7760 Access Points
Tried everything, drivers from Dell, drivers from Intel, different firmware on the Access Points etc etc
If I turn off all encryption all Laptops see the AP's (10 of them) and connect perfectly, turn WEP on, only half the Laptops will see the AP's and connect, turn WPA-PSK (TKIP) and only a third of them see the AP's and even less of them connect and get an IP address, switching to WPA-PSK (AES) yeilds about the same results
Finally switching to WPA2-PSK (AES) led to pretty much only 3 out of 10 Laptops connecting and getting an IP
I have used the same Access Points with 30 Toshiba Laptops all connected using WPA installing Office 2007 full (approx 1.7Gb each) and this ran fine with no issues (albeit a little on the slow side)
Cheers
