Default black and white pictures ?

how do you do that thing with black and white pictures where you have say a blue scooby in blue and the rest of the pic in black and white ?

Have you got photoshop?

Copy the subect only and paste in a new layer
Desaturate the background

Now the background is in b&w and the subject is colour

Ah, sorry can't help with that (I've only got CS3). If paint shop pro 7 has layers, I'd imagine you could do the same thing though...

what do you mean layers .sorry i'm a bit thick
yes it has a layers option but how do you use them ?

Exactly what it sounds like. Think of it as being like clear sheets of plastic. You can put something on each layer, and when they are all placed on top of each other they make up the whole picture.

So, you copy the car and place it on a new layer (i.e. on a new foreground sheet which will overlay the background), and then you remove the colour from the background layer only. This way the still colourful car on the foreground will overlay the background giving the effect that you are after
