Hi All,

Apologies but not into gaming myself but I would like to know how much is uploaded when doing the online gaming part??????

I have a friends PC that uploaded nearly 500mb in a 48 hour period.

All he plays is World of Warcraft on a PC.

Is that cause he is playing too much or is there another problem with the PC like Spyware????

I have been on Google groups and seems the average seems to be about 9MB download and and 30Mb upload per hour of gaming.

Does that sound right or wrong in anyones more informed opinion????

I've no idea for WOW but I'd expect more down than up, simply because there is one of you being passed back to the server but lots of others to download.

However I've no experience or evidence to back that up for your game, just a guess

Did he have to do an update in that time? The update downloader works like bit torrent and will make received parts of the update available for upload to other users.

Yeah likely to be an update that he's downloaded being shared back out amongst the community. You can set options to turn on/off how and when update distribution occurs, whilst you are online or not.

Once downloaded, if it's being allowed to be shared, it'll be available for other people to download from.
