I know this is a common request....although 'search' didn't help much....

What are your ecommendations for downloading album artwork for my songs....without using iTunes itself?

Mac or Windows software is fine. If I do it from Windows and then move my music folder somewhere else (fileserver), will the art still be there?

I use itunes (shudder) to create the aac, then use google images to find the album artwork, and just drag it over to the itunes window. Doing this, the artwork gets assigned to the album, and it will stay with the tracks when you move them.

If you download the artwork from itunes itself, the artwork does not stay with the albums if you move them, (as I found out after moving around 500 albums to a different machine the other day).

Me too. Almost 100% of what i looked for was found. Discogs got the rest.

In the end I used MediaMonkey on Windows - downloads from Amazon.

It's something I used to use but now want to standardize on iTunes for all my machines (Mac and PC)
