Default At last a workable alternative to Itunes

after playing around with varying alternatives to itunes, ive found one thats easy to use, and not bloatware , like apples offering.

to date ive been through: (windows only)

Floola

Mediamonkey

Yamipod

Winamp

Podox

Sharepod

With two exeptions, most of the above were as clunky and slow as Itunes, with baffling tick and sync, and or wiggle the Ipod on Tuesday type options to get anything done.

Podox on the other hand, was very small and easy to use, but fell over when transferring large amount of files in one go, (9gb) (shame i really liked it)

Sharepod though is brilliant, plug in the pod, decide whether you want to put tracks on or remove from the pod, select the folder or files, click the button and your away, and its a whole heap quicker than Itunes too

You have to enable disk sharing on the pod though, but its only a mouse click from itunes

No more popups with itunes telling me my pod is full and it wanting to choose at random what it thinks i would like to hear. (it has no ferking idea what i want to hear)

and as an added bonus, i can get rid of Quicktime as well

you mean the iPod Touch?
If so then you cant enable disc mode as it doesn't have that as an option

I know it doesn't, thats why I was asking. There must be a way to hack it, like you can with iphone and add some 3rd party app, to achieve.

Have a look at ziPhone. I'm pretty sure it covers the iPod Touch and it might allow you to enable disk mode.
