Cool WM Player and BBC iPlayer

I am running XP home, with WM player 11, and when I try to download anything on BBC iPlayer, it says it won't play due to DRM issues on WM Player.

It says I should be on version 9 or above, but I'm on 11, so don't really understand it. The FAQ section on BBC support site is useless, any ideas what I can do to get round this?

Thanks

Geezer

OK, I downloaded that, but it doesnt' seem to solve my problem with iPlayer. I still get the same message, and there doesn't seem to be anything in the iPlayer settings to say use VLC?

you can use VLC to open the files that Iplayer has downloaded. (you just have to explore to the "download" directory

OK, I didn't make myself clear, my apologies, I can't even download, so they don't make it to my hard disk.

Cool

It's not a firewall issue, I don't block anything and it has never asked for any permissions to be set for iPlayer.

I get.......

I read on their site there was an update to the iplayer as the drm had been hacked. Have you got the latest player?

As far as I know I have, it's version 11, but I'll go to the MS website and see if there are any updates.

Cool

Thanks for that, though it hasn't solved my problem, but it has uncovered some other issues which may!
