Vista Sound dies !
I like to watch things on my PC and leave it on 24/7 a lot of time when its been on a while and something has been paused it takes a reboot to bring the sound back ?
There is currently no sound on my PC, as it shuts down I guarantee the windows shut-down music will play ! and then its too late ??
WTF is wrong with it ?

Its Vista, that is what is wrong with it.
Direct Sound is not supported in Vista which meant a total driver rewrite. In addition the new methods for writing sound drivers changed during development.
I'd suggest trying to update your drivers. There are loads of topics on the net regarding Vista and audio.
