Mass Effect To Get Additional Content
The already gigantic sci-fi universe of Mass Effect is about to get, well, more gigantic! From 10 March 2008 Xbox LIVE Marketplace will host the first ever downloadable content for Mass Effect, a content pack enticingly named “Bring Down the Sky”.
For just 400 MS points, you alongside more than 1.6 million others enjoying Mass Effect here on Earth can begin to explore a new world aboard the starship Normandy. This uncharted territory is no holiday destination however; it’s the Asgard system which is currently plagued by ferocious Batarians.
Deep inside Asgard there lies a human colony world called Terra Nova. The content pack “Bring Down the Sky” is so named because a group of extremist Batarians have hijacked an asteroid station and have set it on a collision course with Terra Nova. Thus the lives of millions of innocent civilians are in grave danger, and Commander Shepard has less than two hours to interject.
“Bring Down the Sky” is the first in a series of planned downloadable content for Mass Effect. It adds approximately 90 minutes of exhilarating new sequences that benefit from the award-winning features of this action role-playing game – intelligent dialogue, tactical battles, and spectacular visuals to depict each scenario.
If saving Terra Nova from a tragic end is not enough for your efforts, completion of “Bring Down the Sky” will earn you an Achievement worth 50 Gamerscore points.

Not sure how i'm reading that, but i'm assuming it means they've added 90mins of additional fmv/interaction/talking and not just 90mins of actual extra gameplay.

I think they mean 90 mins of talking plus 90 minuts of travelling to various planets visiting the same terrain only slightly differently coloured, and then going to and through exactly the same buildings
More seriously - the entire mission takes 90 minutes IIRC - So , sort of like one of the main story missions in the full game.
