I received my PS2 as a Xmas gift as bought from HMV.
However after trying the DVD function it seems to skip on all films, even with the new drivers. Have tried to take it back over the last month, but none of the HMV's have any stock of PS2's around here. In Blackburn they offered me a full cash refund, so I am just wondering whether to take the money for now, then buy it in March at the lower price.
Anyone know if it is true or just a rumour to scare MS?

I reckon a price cut will come soon on PS2, if the gamecube is going to be launched @ £149 then that will soon be a £99 console, so PS2 for £135 or maybe £149 can't be too long off.
