Default Living Room PC's

Hi there,

I am after one of these living room PC's for the sitting room & was in PC World yesterday having a look around.

Specs werent mind blowing but its only going to be used for a bit of surfing & some FM '08.

Budget is around £400.

I would need the wireless keyboard with inbuilt mouse.

Any ideas ??

Thanks

That's all there is to it these days really - If you can put lego together, you can build a PC.

Thats a lot simpler than it used to be too - Turn on machine, put CD in tray, wait.

It basically runs the game on the pc, and streams the display to whatever client wants it (much like a remote desktop client).

It might work, but I've seen a few things around that suggest performance isn't exactly stunning...

I'm sure I've read somewhere about some poor soul trying to get Crysis running through a windows emulator on the PS3's Linux...

good luck is all I can say.

A bit more than your budget but this makes a nice media box with HDMI out - there are things you could do to reduce the price. But this will play full hd vids.

Just a quick note on DemonDave's list. Vista Home Basic doesn't include the media centre functions. You would need home premium for that.
