How to record Internet Radio?

How to record Internet Radio?
Ive never posted in here before, and was wondering if anyone could help me
Im not to good with Pc's and tech'y shuff, but here goes...
I listen to various internet radio stations, and a friend of mine uses a thing called 'Av Rack' thats dead easy to use, and it records what he listens too, and then saves it as an Mp3 file.
Ive tried looking for this application and havn't a clue what exactly im looking for
Its dead easy to use, as it has a record button, and the moment its pressed it records any sound your listing to on the PC (i think that how it works), and then you just click the stop button, go to file save as, and name it, and sorted job done, theres an Mp3 sat in the 'My Docs' file
Could anybody point me in the right direction for an application like this
