Default Buying a laptop.....help please :)

Advice please

My kids are having problems using the Desktop PC as they both have homework set which requires "using the computer".

I thought about buying a laptop so one of them could use it on the kitchen table and I could keep an eye on both of them

Any suggestions for a laptop in the £299-£349 range ??

General use, internet (via netgear wireless modem), looking at the odd DVD to keep them quiet.

Cheers

Remember, a laptop might end up in places where you can't keep that eye on them. Use whatever is the PC equivalent of Apple Remote Desktop to snoop on and even control what they're up to. Good fun too listening to them as they get confused about the wandering pointer, mysteriously closing windows and Dad's psychic sense of all the naughtiness they're planning online

I'm a little less on the whole controlling kids online thing...

I say block the obvious stuff but dont take all the fun out of it !

Just tell them you check everyday to see what sites they have been on !

Let them become trustworthy !

Its Dell mate, all are good deals !!

For that price you wont get a gaming machine.. but you'll get a decent NEW Dell with warrenty and a load of goodies to play with.. or delete
