Default Be there router question

has anyone got one of there router jobbys?


are they any good, can they handle media streaming to an xbox? 360

or am i best sticking with what ive got

router is OK, but i dont use it :P

instead, i use a draytek vigor 2800VG.

my BEBox works fine......

no problems here.. not tried streaming from pc to xbox but I do use the wireless from xbox to router for xbox live... works a treat

Speed is 17mb down and 2 mb up here

Yeah should work no problems ! Nice little router.. locked down quite a bit though !

Hello

It works okay, I just didn't like it. Wireless is a bit patchy and it just locks up occasionally.

I don't recommend the Draytek mentioned above as it doesn't like Be* very much although it appears to have better compatibility than it did a year ago (have a look at the Draytek forums). I use a Netgear DG834N which gets the same speed as the supplied router but is more reliable and is 'nicer'.

I like the BE router as it has VOIP capability, and it has an external switch to turn off wireless. I'm sure there are better routers though.
I'm not sure I would recommend media streaming by wireless anyway especially videos. It might be better using the powerline adapters you can buy.

i,m using a belkin router at the mo, streams video fine (wireless), has a minor bug with dropping the adsl carrier thou ...

think it may be a duff unit (fleabay (only a couple of days old) )

i,ll try the netgear again to see if it wasnt just me me being a duffer, ( dont think i was ) if not i,ll give the be unit a try, or i'll pick up another belkin
