Right then....(finally)
I have in my Grubby mit the following....
CS FULL MOD VERSION
HL RETAIL
HL PATCH to 1107 (i think)
I am going to.....(in the following order)
Install HL
Patch HL
Install CS
Kill the lot of you
If any of the above is wrong or I need anything else then could you guys let me know....
MY NEXT QUESTION!
Newbie tutorial for finding your server, and installing voice in the form of...click this, then go here, then do this e.t.c e.t.c......make it easy boys eh?
BTW - I have been playing Rogue Spear online for a while now, so
I am quite used to all the abuse e.t.c e.t.c...

didn't u show an interest in CS months ago ???
MOD CS needs HL 08 patch.
Voice should install and get setup automatically. if you have problems there will be a voice_tweak.exe file somewhere in the HL dir to use.
check out all the threads i post for out organised sessions. we play some custom maps which you'll to download.
get these from :
www.jolt.co.uk
they have a large download section.
we'll be around most evenings......i'll post the ip of our private server if no one else does later when i get home.
have u got icq / msn ? if not get them as we use them to talk / chat etc about where / when we playing.
(well we do if some people turn them on

Yeah Steve - I did, got a bit roped into a Rogue Spear clan for a while....v.addictive, anyway, i'm drinking beer tonight, but have a CD now with all the bits I need (including the patch to 1108 - thanks for the info H) and i'm going to have a wee runaround for a few days to get used to all the differences, then i'll give you guys a shout, any maps in particular I need, or just get the lot....

Crispin, you can get all the maps and mappacks if you want. I think it totals a couple of gigs of data Else there is a topic here with the list of current maps installed on STi Clan server. The topic starter would be either Steve, Orbv or Mike Burton.

I'll see if I can get away with scheduled downloads from work at 1am for a d/l that size

Rogue Public is port 27035,STi Locked is port 27055
Stats are here for Rogue and here for Locked
Either search the threads here for the map list or look at http://cs.whoc.org.uk/sti-maps. Best to get the map names from here and download the files from jolt - they have extra sounds etc which in some cases is at least as big as the map itself

Because everyone break out in laughter every time one of these messages pops
up on screen giving the originator of the message an unfair advantage, it has
been decided that the anti-cheat software will be updated to kick and ban
anyone using them.
Of course this will not effect Steve as normally would disconnect before the
anti-cheat software kicks in.
Just a heads up for tonight's session
